Missed calls
This is a unique feature in India. No cost for giving missed calls! People conveniently using the technology, but not really getting charged for it. It is used, but not really used. Maybe that is why we get some maintenance charge or service charge deducted every day? In the US, if the call goes through or not, if it was just one ring or 10 rings, if you talk for one min or 1 sec, it's always considered a call.
But, it did help me flirt with someone by just to keep giving missed calls at un-earthly hours, at un-predictable times, from un-planned places... ;)
I love India!!!

and hey, we dont get charged for incoming calls in our mobiles either...
some of my friends in US have warned not to call them in the day ontheir mobiles cos they're getting charged...true?
Oh yeah, very true. We get detected from the limit of free calls for incoming calls too. But the good thing is we do get some free calls every month and some companies offer roll over minutes. If there are un--used minuted from your free call limit, you can use them over the next months.
