Do not like this
Nope, I did not like it. Why should it be this way? I am (was) not able to re-charge / top-up my pre-paid mobile while I am (was) in roaming. This has driven me crazy. Not knowing this, I have wasted a lot of money trying to do that. The only way that it is possible is doing with an easy recharge. This was not clearly informed when I got the phone. It made me very angry when I was not able to re-charge even from my home town, since the number I have is a Chennai number, and Chennai and Tamil Nadu are different circles!
Crazy!

crazy?? maybe...but not like anything here in the US, the land of "freedom"...incoming calls, even incoming messages are charged!!
shucks!!
well, you do get your free minutes with your call, which you don't in India. And yet, I do agree, incoming being charged is really a huge thing, especially when you come from India. I had a blog on that sometime back.
